About Us
Benney Transfer Technology (BTT) was established in Echuca,
Victoria, Australia in 1991. Echuca is situated on the Murray River,
approximately 200km north of Melbourne (capital of Victoria in S.E.
Aust.), in the heart of Victoria's food bowl in the Goulburn & Murray
Valleys.
Although situated in regional Victoria, we have access to a network of
transport companies that ensures prompt delivery of goods Australia wide
and overseas.
Our sister company, PLT Instrumentation Pte Ltd was established in
Singapore in 2000 to cater for the South East Asia area.
We have continued to grow, and in 2004 we moved into a new purpose built
facility specially designed for the manufacturing of the Benney product
range. The new facility includes a manufacturing division, instrument
repair and calibration service, sales and administration offices.
Instrumentation and Calibration Division
In conjunction with local food processors BTT developed sanitary process
connections for a wide variety of process control instrumentation, which
led to BTT manufacturing a range of Instruments developed specifically for
the food industry, which typically is one of the harshest environments for
an instrument.
As a result of our experience in the food industry BTT has expanded the
product range to cover the chemical, petrochemical, mining and
pharmaceutical industries.
Over the years BTT has developed a range of connections purpose built for
Original Equipment Manufactures (OEM's) including Yokogawa, Honeywell,
Foxboro, Rosemount etc that are designed to enhance the performance of the
instrument in problem applications.
All of our products are manufactured and assembled at our Echuca facility.
Most are made from 316L stainless steel raw material; however, other
materials such as Monel 400, Hastelloy and Duplex to name a few are used
depending on customer requirements.
BTT has vast experience in instrument application engineering with a
strong focus on 'problem solving'. We have a reputation for responding
quickly to customer needs.
BTT has developed its own Patented Instrument Fill Process, which results
in a substantially more reliable fill when fitting a diaphragm seal to an
instrument. This system is also used in our Singapore facility.
Every instrument manufactured at our plant is calibrated to customer
specification, using NATA traceable test instruments, prior to dispatch.
We also have an On-site Calibration service to enable clients to conform
to their QA requirements. Our service includes calibration of temperature,
pressure, level, ph, valves, I/Ps and conductivity instruments.
BTT has a keen focus on Research & Development aimed at solving
customer problems. We are always striving to develop and improve our range
of instrumentation.

Manufacturing Division
In addition to providing product for our instrumentation division we also
offer a full Cadcam and CNC machining service.
Our manufacturing department is located in a purpose built workshop
offering the latest technology in machining.
Our equipment includes:
· Mazak Turning Centres - machining envelope of Ø300 x 500mm, and
barfeed capacity of Ø51mm.
· Okuma Vertical Machining Centre - fully integrated 4th axis with a
machining envelope of 430 x 762 x 450mm, and full Cad cam Programming
facility.
· Mazak Integrex 300SY (Combination Turning & Milling) - machining
envelope of Ø350 x 800mm, a barfeed capacity of Ø64mm, an 80 tool turret,
sub spindle and Cad cam Programming facility.
With the aid of the latest in Cadcam software our versatility in design
and manufacturing enables us to offer reproduction of an existing product
or design and manufacture of new equipment. All of this is done with a
strong emphasis on meeting customer requirements.
